The office opens at 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month.
The Snohomish County office can issue death certificates for deaths that occurred in Everett from 1953 to the present, deaths anywhere in Snohomish County from 1960 to the present, and all Washington State deaths filed electronically starting in 2016. Since January 1, 2021, Washington is a closed record state, meaning only qualified applicants with specific family or legal relationships can receive certified copies. You must provide proof of identity and proof of relationship when you apply.
